Hong Kong Living

‘Hong Kong Living’ is an ongoing series of portraits of people in their homes in Hong Kong. More than a decade after the handover of Hong Kong from British to Chinese rule, dependence on China for economic solutions is increasing along with political intervention from the Chinese government under the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ formula. This sinification, together with the existing pressures, high living costs and poor governance, to name a few problems, make Hong Kong an interesting and challenging city to live in. Photographing people at home, in a space that they return to after a long day, reveals to me a part of their Hong Kong, and shows me how we all simultaneously deal with our lives here.
